Quite simply this is a well-written, excellently recorded album. The musicianship is top notch and the melodies enchanting. It’s title song “Bad Reputation” is actually a very moody piece of work and quite a dark number yet the album has on the whole a great lively feel, it would make a great summer album (I hate saying that). Some of Lynotts vocals are delightful and this is one album worth getting just for the tunes. This is not really an album that went down as an inspiring all time great as it didn’t really offer anything new, it simply improved on earlier attempts in this sound, but do not let that put you off. Go out and buy this now, I purchased it for only £4 on record and it was an investment worth buying.
