Up to
23rd March 2004 Still speaking! Quite a bit too by the size
of this page! Site News
Still nothing major on the site lately - I hope to get
back into my coding and music creation soon. I
have been promised a few reviews by people and hope to do
at least one soon! On the coding
front I've had to rethink a few things and I'm
bugfixing/tweaking a finished game which should be up
soon - when I get a few minutes to myself. Blimming work!
Toxic
Cocktail / Coagulus
Something wierd happened with the
planned Sunday studio visit - no one got in contact with
me
beforehand until about an hour before it was supposed to
start. Phil let me know that he wasn't
going and I was unable to contact the others. This is a
bad sign for the band, very bad. We are
supposed to be doing a gig in the summer and need an
hours worth of songs by May and we only
have about 10 minutes of finished stuff. It's looking
grim but we'll just have to see what happens.
On the subject of
my stuff, I went to record some new solo stuff but I
might need a better sound
card with full duplex recording facilities. I'll see if I
can pick one up next month.
Other
News - Karaoke King Shock (!), Stripping (walls - don't
get ideas!) etc...
KARAOKE
On Wednesday I went to the Greenhouse pub for an after
work jar or two with some friends from
work. Hi to Gareth, John and Sarah. It was Karaoke night
so once the beer kicked in I decided to
put my name down for a couple! I started with Robbie
Williams' Let Me Entertain You which
seemed to go down well so I then did a hammed-up
performance of Black Sabbath's Paranoid
compete with long black coat, long hair and shouts of
"Sharon!!!". That got a great response! I
then found out that there was a karaoke competition
running and the people running it asked me
a few questions ("Are you a professional
singer"! - I was sitting there with a cigar and a
pint!) and
put my name down for it. At the end of the night they
announced the winner, and it was me! I now
will go through to the final in a few weeks time! Not bad
for just going in for a pint eh?
STRIPPING
(Explained)
On Saturday I went with my friends Lauren and
Richard to their new house in Llanrumney in Cardiff
to help out with the preparations. I decided to operate
the steamer to strip the old wallpaper and
I've got to say, it was extremely satisfying
(the buzzword of the day!). You know when you have to
scratch off all of the silver stuff on scratchcards to be
satisfied, well thats the same feeling but on
a much larger scale with a steamer. Their place is
extremely nice albeit with a few just-moving-in
teething troubles which always surface so will turn out
fine. I think you two will like it there and now
and again, I think I will too! I think they move in
properly on Saturday and If I can, I'll be there to lend
a hand again. If needed of course!
Well, all this
typing has made my coffee go cold, time for another,
byeeeeee!
